Monday, April 22, 2024 is Earth Day and at Elgin County Library we have lots of resources to help you celebrate this wonderful planet. Earth Day is a reminder of the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability, encouraging us to come together and take action for a healthier planet and brighter future.

Things you can do to support Climate Action this Earth Day (and all year long):
- Join an event that is already scheduled (check out local Facebook groups or your local municipalities),
- Organize your own event, like a community clean up,
- Make a pledge to carry Earth Day initiatives thoughout the year,
- Plant a tree,
- Start composting,
- Support pollinators by planting a pollinator garden,
- Learn more about sustainable and environmentally conscious habits you can adopt,
- Borrow library books,
- Start a repair café to reduce waste,
- And lots more!
